About Me
  • For the past five years I have been employed as a  professional photographer in the Jewelry industry, working for The American Gemological Laboratories I created detailed digital images of gemstones such as rubies, emeralds and sapphires for use in client reports, marketing materials and the web.
  • I have enjoyed photography since 1960 originally using my fathers old  Kodak Brownie.
    I now enjoy the world of digital imaging currently using a Nikon D300 camera and Photoshop CS2.

  • I am highly computer literate, I especially enjoy the technical side of computing (The Geeky Side).
  • I have a Comptia A+ certificate in computer technology.
  • I enjoy builing, upgrading, maintaining and repairing PC's.

  • I started using computers in high school long before the PC and the internet. I learned Fortran programming on an IBM 1620 main frame computer at the Bronx High School of Science. That computer is now in the Smithsonian Institute. In high school I was allowed to use the IBM 360 at NYU where I learned Cobol.
  • The first computer I had at home was an Apple II plus, monochrome green screen, 5 1/4 inch floppy disk drive.
  • My second home PC was a Commodore 64 which I connected to control the lights in my son's room.
  •  Mext came an IBM PC XT. This was the first PC I owned which had a hard drive. A Whopping 10 Megabytes!
  • My last 5 PC's were ones that I built myself. Currently I am using a Shuttle PC as my desktop and 2 laptops.
  • I am highly proficent in all the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc).
  • I enjoy helping people learn how to understand their computers and use them more efficiently...
